This critical role supports comprehensive, time-sensitive testing services essential for accurate diagnosis and patient care. Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of recent laboratory experience in a clinical setting
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, specifically EPIC
- Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
- Certification from ASCP (MLT or MLS) or AMT is required
- Strong knowledge of chemistry, immunochemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, manual testing, and rapid diagnostics (Covid, Influenza)
- Ability to perform manual body fluid and CSF cell counts and differentials
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Prior travel laboratory experience
- Experience with transfusion services and central processing
- Additional certifications or specialized training in laboratory techniques
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent
- At least one year of recent, relevant clinical laboratory experience
- Recent proficiency in EPIC EMR system
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work night shift (20:30 - 07:00), four days per week (Monday through Thursday)
- Ability to adapt to a 10-hour shift schedule
- Travel experience is a plus
- Certification renewal and licensure as required by governing bodies
