Location                             : Scottsbluff, NE 69361
Duration                            : 13 weeks /3 months
Salary Range                    : $40 -$45/ hourly on W2
Shift Timing                     : Evenings 4x10s | 12:00-8:30 | Every other Sunday
 
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Medical Technologist (MT), or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing, treating, and preventing disease. This role requires adherence to laboratory quality standards, regulatory requirements, and patient safety protocols while ensuring accurate and timely test results.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in areas such as Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Coagulation, Blood Bank, and Urinalysis.
  • Analyze patient specimens and accurately report test results according to established laboratory procedures.
  • Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Follow quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Review and verify laboratory data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Document and maintain laboratory records, reports, and quality control logs.
  • Communicate critical values and test results promptly to appropriate healthcare personnel.
  • Assist with specimen collection, processing, and handling as needed.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
 
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by a recognized certifying agency or eligibility for registry as a Medical Laboratory Technician required.
  • Must be able to meet all personnel requirements for testing personnel under CLIA '88 regulations.
  • Previous laboratory experience preferred; candidates with less than one year of experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory principles, quality assurance practices, and safety procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
 
Requirements:
  • Certification through a recognized certifying agency (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) or registry eligibility.
  • Knowledge of laboratory information systems and electronic medical records.
  • Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
