Overview and Responsibilities
Assists with administering the MLS program rules, regulations, and policies in compliance with current accreditation standards.
Demonstrates knowledge of clinical education content for bachelor’s degree medical laboratory science program.
Collaborates with the program faculty in reviewing/assessing, and revision of course materials as needed.
Under the administrative direction of the Academic Dean and/or general direction of the Program Chair.
Minimum Qualifications
Baccalaureate degree
Two (2) years of related work experience and/or clinical experience as a medical laboratory scientist and/or science educator.
Current licensure/certification, board certification registration or license to practice in the State of Tennessee as appropriate to professional practice areas and ASCP BOC or ASCPi BOC generalist certification as a medical laboratory scientist.
Desired Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited institution in related discipline or appropriate discipline for college teaching/administration
Experience teaching in higher education.
