    Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist in Northern New Hampshire - Permanent Hire Job Details

    Seeking a skilled Medical Technologist (MT) to join our laboratory team. This role is essential to delivering accurate, timely lab results that directly support patient care and clinical decision-making.

    Position Summary

    The Medical Technologist performs moderate- to high-complexity testing across multiple laboratory disciplines, including blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology/immunology, urinalysis, and phlebotomy. This role requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with clinical staff.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform and analyze laboratory tests on blood, urine, and other body fluids
    • Ensure accuracy of results and troubleshoot discrepancies as needed
    • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation
    • Follow all quality control and regulatory standards
    • Properly collect, label, and handle specimens
    • Communicate critical results to providers and nursing staff
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant lab environment
    • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts

    Qualifications Education Required
    • Bachelors or better.
    Experience Required
    • Certification as MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) or similar national certification. Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
    • Preferred: 1-2 years of experience preferred. Phlebotomy experience or certification is a plus.
    Licenses & Certifications Required
    • Basic Life Support
