Position Summary

The Medical Laboratory Scientist plays an essential role in delivering accurate and timely laboratory results that directly impact patient diagnosis and treatment. This position offers exposure to a wide range of testing methodologies and complex clinical cases in a dynamic hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing on blood, tissue, and other patient specimens utilizing automated and manual laboratory methods

• Analyze, verify, and report laboratory results with a high level of accuracy

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation

• Adhere to quality control and quality assurance standards

• Support laboratory operations by following established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

• Exercise independent judgment when evaluating specimens and test results

• Collaborate with laboratory colleagues and healthcare providers to ensure exceptional patient care

• Assist in maintaining a safe and compliant laboratory environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Biology, or a related scientific field

• Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license (active or eligible) required

• Completion of an accredited laboratory training program or equivalent laboratory experience

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
