Medical Laboratory Technician - Blood Bank (Generalist)

Position Summary:

We are hiring a detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) with hands-on Blood Bank experience to support our clinical laboratory operations. This role is responsible for independently performing complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues that includes standardized microscopic, chemical, and/or bacteriological testing. Generalist experience with a passion for working across multiple disciplines and contributing to high-quality patient care. Candidates may be credentialed as MLT, Med Tech, or Lab Tech.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Associates degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution OR be a high school graduate or equivalent and have successfully completed an official military medical laboratory procedures course of at least a duration of 50 weeks and have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician).
• Must be eligible for ASCP, AMT or equivalent board certification exam and must be Medical Laboratory Technician certified within 18 months of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Blood Bank Experience

• Experience working in an acute-care or hospital laboratory
