  • Perform moderate and high-complexity laboratory testing in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, microbiology, serology/immunology, and blood bank/transfusion services.
  • Collect, process, label, and analyze patient specimens while ensuring specimen integrity and accurate identification.
  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and clinic patients.
  • Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment according to established laboratory procedures.
  • Conduct and document quality control (QC) and quality assurance activities to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Review, verify, and accurately report laboratory findings in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Recognize and promptly communicate critical values and abnormal findings to physicians and nursing staff.
  • Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards.
  • Perform blood bank procedures, including blood typing, antibody screening, compatibility testing, and blood product preparation as required.
  • Participate in proficiency testing, competency assessments, and continuing education activities.
  • Monitor laboratory inventory and assist with ordering, stocking, and maintaining adequate supplies and reagents.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control, instrument maintenance, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support timely diagnosis and patient care.
  • Provide laboratory services in a rural critical access and Indian Health Service (Client) setting, supporting emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and community healthcare needs.
  • Deliver patient-centered and culturally sensitive care while adhering to Indian Health Service policies and federal healthcare regulations.

Qualifications –
  • Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution.
