Job Summary:
Tryfacta is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT/MLS) for our client in Carbondale, IL 62901. This is a 13-week contract assignment. If you meet the qualifications listed below and are interested, please Apply Now!

Position Title: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT/MLS)
Location: Carbondale, IL 62901
Duration: 13-week
Work Schedule: Evenings


Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform complex laboratory testing and diagnostic procedures with accuracy and precision.
  • Collect, process, and analyze blood, urine, fecal, body fluid, and other biological specimens.
  • Perform Blood Bank testing and transfusion-related procedures (strong Blood Bank experience required).
  • Analyze quality control data and take appropriate corrective actions to ensure accurate results.
  • Troubleshoot laboratory instruments and resolve technical issues using scientific principles.
  • Assist in evaluating and implementing new laboratory techniques and procedures.
  • Review laboratory instrument indicators and temperature monitoring logs.
  • Communicate test results and laboratory information effectively with physicians and healthcare staff.
  • Maintain compliance with laboratory safety, quality assurance, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain competency in all assigned laboratory procedures.

To be considered for this position, you should have: [Skills, Education, or Experience]
  • Active Illinois MLT/MLS License (if applicable).
  • MT/MLS/CLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification required.
  • Bachelor's Degree (or Associate's Degree for grandfathered personnel).
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Laboratory experience.
  • Strong Blood Bank experience is required.
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
