Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Location: Mashpee, MA

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Days

Schedule: 40 Hours/Week | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM / 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation:

• Traveler Rate: $53–$56/hour ($1,987 – $2,100/week) – based on experience
• Local Rate: $47–$50/hour ($1,762 – $1,875/week) – based on experience

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join a clinical laboratory team in a physician office setting. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of laboratory testing procedures, maintain quality and compliance standards, and support patient care through accurate and timely diagnostic testing. Candidates should be comfortable working independently and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical laboratory testing according to laboratory procedures and physician orders
• Collect venous and capillary blood specimens as required
• Receive, process, package, and prepare specimens for in-house or reference laboratory testing
• Prepare reagents, standards, controls, and laboratory equipment for testing procedures
• Perform equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
• Document daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks accurately
• Communicate critical laboratory values promptly to providers and clinical teams
• Accurately record and report completed test results
• Participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance initiatives to maintain CLIA compliance
• Assist in maintaining laboratory procedure manuals and regulatory standards
• Monitor laboratory inventory, order supplies, and restock materials as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory work areas
• Assist with orientation and training of new personnel and students
• Ensure confidentiality of patient and laboratory information
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients, providers, and healthcare staff
• Perform additional duties as assigned by laboratory leadership

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English required
• Associate’s Degree in Science and/or completion of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program preferred
• ASCP or NCA registration as a Medical Laboratory Technician preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of clinical laboratory experience may be considered
• Recent Core Lab experience preferred
• Ability to work independently in a physician office laboratory setting
• Epic Beaker experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Computer proficiency preferred
• Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
