Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

We are seeking a Point-of-Care Laboratory Technician to perform laboratory testing in a mobile/remote setting. The technician will perform waived testing, process specimens, maintain quality control, enter patient information and results, and support efficient laboratory operations.

Pay:$26.00–$32.00/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process specimens from phlebotomists and couriers.
• Perform point-of-care laboratory testing, including:
• • Chemistry
  • Hematology
  • Urinalysis
  • Molecular testing
  • Coagulation
• Enter patient demographics, test orders, and results into the laboratory information system.
• Perform and document quality control before testing and reporting patient results.
• Verify abnormal and unusual results before releasing results.
• Perform blood collection, including venipuncture and capillary specimens.

Requirements

• California-licensed MLT, LVN, or CLS required.
• No Phlebotomists.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid California driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to safely operate a vehicle.
• Familiarity with laboratory processes and workflow.
• Previous laboratory testing and phlebotomy experience preferred.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Monday–Friday
• 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
• Weekend and on-call requirements will be discussed during the interview.
• Mobile laboratory environment with travel between locations.
• May work around blood-borne pathogens, biological materials, hazardous substances, and other laboratory-related hazards.
• Must be able to stand frequently and occasionally walk, sit, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to lift or move up to approximately 15 lbs occasionally.
• Normal color vision is required.
