Position Overview

Fairweather is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Logistics & Supply Coordinator to support the daily operations of our medical supply warehouse. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that our remote medical teams across Alaska have the equipment and supplies they need to operate safely and effectively.

The Medical Logistics & Supply Coordinator manages medical inventory, prepares and builds medical kits for remote sites, and coordinates the shipment and receipt of supplies for a wide range of industrial medical clients. Because many of our operations are remote and transportation schedules are tied to flight logistics, this position requires flexibility, reliability, and a strong commitment to supporting our field teams.

The ideal candidate is dependable, highly organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced operational environment where attention to detail is critical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the inventory management system.
  • Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure medical teams are adequately stocked.
  • Coordinate ordering of medical supplies in collaboration with medical staff and operations leadership.
  • Build, organize, and maintain medical kits for remote work sites and projects.
  • Pick, pack, and ship medical supplies and equipment to remote locations across Alaska.
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments to verify accuracy against purchase orders.
  • Communicate with medical staff to identify supply needs, shortages, and replacements.
  • Track and maintain medical equipment and asset inventory.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with scheduled physical inventory audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and proper storage of medical equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinate closely with operations teams, logistics staff, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of supplies.
  • Maintain readiness of remote medical response kits, narcotic kits, and emergency equipment.

Schedule and Operational Requirements

Because this role supports remote operations and flight-based logistics, schedule flexibility is essential.

This position may occasionally require:

  • Early morning work to meet inbound or outbound flights
  • Evening work to support urgent shipments
  • Occasional weekend work when operational needs arise

Reliability and responsiveness are critical to ensuring our remote medical teams receive the supplies they need.

Required Qualifications

  • EMT certification or prior healthcare experience required (EMT, Medical Assistant, Paramedic, ER Technician, or similar clinical background).
  • 2–3 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, medical logistics, or supply chain support.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience with inventory management systems or ERP software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with medical staff, operations teams, and vendors.
  • Dependable and flexible with scheduling to support early morning, evening, or occasional weekend logistics needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with medical supply inventory, emergency medical equipment, or field medical kits.
  • Experience with Operative IQ or similar medical inventory management systems.
  • Experience supporting remote operations, industrial worksites, or emergency response teams.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes and equipment (25–40 lbs).
  • Ability to stand, organize inventory, and conduct counts within a warehouse environment.
