We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Medical Malpractice Litigation Associate to join our robust legal team. This position presents an exciting opportunity to work on complex and challenging cases, providing invaluable support to our clients in the healthcare sector. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of medical malpractice laws, insurance defense, elder abuse, catastrophic injury, and court litigation. This role offers a fast-paced environment where you will be expected to manage multiple cases simultaneously, providing a unique opportunity for professional growth and career advancement.

Responsibilities:

1. Actively manage a diverse caseload of medical malpractice claims, including insurance defense, elder abuse, and catastrophic injury cases.
2. Conduct thorough and detailed investigations to identify potential legal issues and develop effective defense strategies.
3. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
4. Represent clients in court proceedings, demonstrating exceptional trial advocacy skills.
5. Collaborate with medical professionals, expert witnesses, and other legal professionals to build compelling defense cases.
6. Provide legal advice to clients on risk management and malpractice prevention, ensuring they are kept informed of case progress and legal developments.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in medical malpractice law and healthcare regulations to provide the most accurate advice and defense.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be licensed to practice law in CA.
3. A minimum of 3 years' experience in litigation.
4. Proven trial experience and a strong record of successful case resolution.
5. Expert knowledge of healthcare regulations and medical malpractice laws.
6. Federal court admissions in Central / Southern Districts are a plus.
7. Ability to manage multiple cases independently and meet tight deadlines.
8. Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
9. Strong research skills and proficiency in legal research tools.
10. Proficient in using legal software for case management and document handling.
