Small Family-Owned Prosthetic Practice.


We are a family-owned prosthetic company looking for a dependable and friendly Medical Office & Insurance Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for someone who is willing to help in multiple areas and become an important part of our day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule patients and manage appointment coordination
  • Request and collect medical records, physician notes, prescriptions, and other required documentation
  • Verify insurance benefits and patient eligibility
  • Assist with insurance authorizations and follow up on outstanding information
  • Communicate with physicians' offices, insurance companies, patients, and referral sources
  • Collect patient payments, copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
  • Answer phones and assist patients with questions
  • Maintain accurate and organized patient records
  • Follow up on missing documentation needed for insurance approval and billing
  • Assist with general administrative and front-office duties
  • Help with other day-to-day office responsibilities as needed.

  • Comfortable using computers, email, phone systems, and electronic patient records.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in a medical office, insurance verification, medical billing, patient scheduling or healthcare administration is preferred.
  • Experience with insurance verification, prior authorizations, and collecting medical documentation is especially helpful.
