About the Role:
Kings Clinic and Urgent Care PLLC in Kings Mountain, NC is looking for a motivated and compassionate Medical Office Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front-desk experience
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the clinic calendar accurately
  • Verify patient insurance information and process co-pays and billing
  • Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Assist clinical staff with patient intake, vital signs, and rooming patients as needed
  • Answer multi-line phone systems, triage calls, and relay messages to appropriate staff
  • Ensure exam rooms and common areas are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient care
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; medical assistant certification (CMA, RMA) preferred
  • Prior experience in a medical office, clinic, or urgent care setting preferred
  • Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and medical billing practices
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, patient-centered demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced urgent care environment
  • Basic phlebotomy or clinical skills a plus
