Medical Office Manager - Billing & Credentialing
Location: Needham, MA
Salary Range: $30-$35/hr + (flexible/based on experience)

Role
This position is a vital role within the organization. You will work closely with the Director of Finance and Clinical Director throughout the year to help manage and develop budgets, track financial status, and perform reconciliations.
Responsibilities
Monitor day-to-day financial operations
Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports
Manage all accounting/bookkeeping functions, including bill payments, invoicing, accounts receivable, claims reconciliation, general ledger maintenance, and management reporting
Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and reporting to senior leadership
Perform HR tasks, including credentialing clinicians with insurance companies, onboarding staff, managing health and dental insurance enrollments/terminations, and ensuring COBRA compliance
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
Oversee and monitor client billing and collections
Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with 5+ years of experience (or 10+ years without a degree)
Strong organizational and decision-making skills with the ability to multitask
Prior experience in the medical industry and knowledge of claims processing highly desired
Ability to synthesize complex financial data into actionable insights
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders
Positive, collegial attitude with a strong sense of teamwork
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Comfortable with both Windows and Mac OS
Proficiency in QuickBooks, including AP, AR, credits/refunds, general journal entries, and use of classes
Required Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workplace
Experience with Mac computers a plus
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
Prior experience in medical industry billing and insurance processes highly desired
