Job Summary We are seeking a Medical office Sales Representative to join our team! The ideal candidate has demonstrable sales experience, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with primary care physicians, orthopedic offices, neurology practices, rheumatology offices, urgent care centers, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare providers. Visit referring medical offices regularly to introduce the practice, physicians/providers, services, insurance participation, and referral process. Generate new patient referrals by developing relationships with referral sources in the local community. Identify new referral opportunities and create a targeted list of physicians and healthcare organizations to contact. Follow up consistently with existing referral sources to strengthen relationships and encourage continued referrals. Educate medical offices about the practice's services, appointment availability, accepted insurance plans, and referral requirements. Provide referral offices with brochures, referral forms, contact information, and other marketing materials. Track referral sources and maintain accurate records of office visits, contacts, referrals received, and follow-up activities. Monitor referral trends and identify offices or geographic areas with potential for increased referrals. Coordinate with the front office and clinical team to ensure referral inquiries are handled promptly and professionally. Attend local healthcare networking events, community events, and professional meetings to increase practice visibility. Develop relationships with hospital discharge planners, case managers, social workers, and rehabilitation facilities when appropriate. Communicate feedback from referring offices to management regarding patient access, scheduling, services, and referral experience. Work with management to develop and implement local marketing and referral-growth strategies. Provide weekly/monthly reports on outreach activities, new referral sources, and referral volume. Maintain a professional image and represent the practice appropriately when visiting healthcare offices.
Qualifications
Demonstratable sales experience desired
Previous medical knowledge or understanding of basic medical concepts helpful
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strongly self-motivated, and very goal oriented
Strong organizational skills
