Under the direct supervision of the Administrative Manager. The Medical Office Specialist maintains the highest standards of customer service excellence. Performs a variety of duties including: registration, scheduling, order entry, record integrity and insurance authorization. Maintains knowledge of laws/regulations in order to process claims. Communicates information to and from physicians’ office for exam testing. Provides billing information to patients, physicians and third party payers, takes payments for services rendered and performs other related duties. Performs a variety of duties including: greets and receives patients in a professional manner, obtains insurance authorization and verification. Works closely with the AIC sales team, as well as local administrators and imaging staffs. Works in a professional manner with all AIC staff to maintain a teamwork approach.
