    Medical Oncologist - St. Charles Cancer Center

    Location: Bend, OR
    Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

    St. Charles Health System seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Medical Oncologist to provide compassionate, comprehensive oncology care within our accredited Cancer Centers in Bend and Redmond, Oregon. Deliver high-quality patient care across the full spectrum of cancer treatment, including systemic therapy, care coordination, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

    Schedule and Call:

    • 40 patient contact hours per week
    • Rotating call schedule based on provider staffing

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Diagnose and manage cancer, providing definitive, supportive, and follow-up care
    • Participate in clinical trials and research opportunities
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgery, radiation oncology, primary care, and advanced practice providers
    • Supervise advanced practice providers
    • Maintain timely and accurate patient documentation in Epic EMR
    • Participate in quality improvement and administrative initiatives

    Qualifications:

    • MD or DO from accredited medical school
    • Completion of accredited Internal Medicine residency and Hematology-Oncology fellowship
    • Board-certified or board-eligible in Medical Oncology (must become certified within 7 years post-training)
    • Active Oregon medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
    • Active DEA license (Oregon preferred)
    • Current BLS certification; ACLS if performing sedation
    • Valid driver’s license

    Experience:

    • Required: Experience providing oncology care in hospital and outpatient settings; EMR proficiency
    • Preferred: 2+ years Medical Oncology practice; Epic EMR experience
