Medical Oncology Physician (Medical Oncology) — DuBois, PA
Join a leading facility in DuBois, PA supporting high-volume oncology care with strong scheduling and a clear clinic Monday–Friday structure. You’ll be part of an experienced oncology team (including oncology RNs, nurse navigators, pharmacy support, and more) while caring for adults 18+ with 12–15 patients per day. This is a time-limited assignment starting 06/08/2026 with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay & Benefits
  • Hourly Pay Rate:$546.00/hour
  • OT Policy:$1.4x normal rate after 40 hours/week

What You’ll Do
  • Provide inpatient consults and evaluate new oncology/hematology referral patients (age 18+)
  • Diagnose and stage cancer and develop treatment plans based on patient needs
  • Implement and manage treatment strategies, including chemo and immunotherapy
  • Coordinate care with the oncology team, including oncology RNs and nurse navigators
  • Conduct clinical decision-making to support oncology treatment workflows in the clinic/hospital setting
  • Collaborate with pharmacy and support staff to ensure safe and effective care delivery
  • Participate in patient management within the clinic/hospital environment using EMR systems (ONCO/Cerner)
What You Need
Required
  • Board Certification: BC in Medical Oncology or Hematology-Oncology
  • DEA: Yes
  • CSR: Yes
  • Certifications:BLS, ACLS
  • Experience:At least 1 year
  • State License: Preferred may consider IMLC (actual requirement to be confirmed during credentialing)

Preferred
  • State license: Preferred (may consider IMLC)
  • Experience handling both oncology and hematology new referral patients
  • Familiarity with inpatient consult workflows and cancer staging/treatment planning
About the Assignment
This Medical Oncology assignment supports an oncology department in a hospital setting in DuBois, PA, with a multidisciplinary team including experienced oncology RNs, nurse navigators, medical assistants, pharmacy support, and clerical staff for patient check-in/check-out. Coverage is full time with an expected patient volume of 12–15 patients per day. If bone marrow biopsy is needed, patients can be referred to IR; no special procedures are expected for this role.
