Medical Payroll Specialist (DSO or MSO) | Hybrid | Dallas, TX
Award-winning Dental organization currently hiring a Senior Medical Payroll Specialist with 4 to 15 years of experience - DOES NOT MANAGE OTHERS. Manages bi-weekly and bi-monthly payroll for over 35 payroll registers, extensive Paycor experience, and Deferred Compensation Plans needed urgently, within 1 week. Senior level individual contributor who understands complex organizational structure and strong attention to detail.
Rate: $45.67 to $55.29/hr | based on experience
Hybrid Schedule: Mon to Fri | WFH 2 days, in-office 3 days | Immediate benefits
* REQUIREMENTS *
- Senior level individual contributor great with stakeholder management
- OVER 4 years experience running payroll via Paycor as a Payroll Manager
- Proven experience in fast-paced MSO or DSO setting
- Bi-weekly and bi-monthly payroll for over 35 payroll registers
- Recent, extensive Paycor experience
- Must have Deferred Compensation Plans experience
- Ability to manage tax set-up & administration
- Extensive calculating & managing accurate true-ups
- Knowledge of payroll laws & regulations
- Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws
- STRONG attention to detail, investigative mindset, and follow-through
- Understands common fiscal procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to align SOP's
- Knowledge of payroll software programs
- Competency in Excel and Microsoft products
- Ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in business or accounting
- CPP certification (Certified Payroll Professional) PREFERRED
Job Summary:
- Prepare and execute payroll via payroll software, Paycor.
- Prepare and run semi-monthly, bi-weekly, & quarterly off-cycle payrolls for 35 payroll registers; Deferred Compensation Plans.
- Set up taxes and unemployment in new jurisdictions.
- Gather information on hours worked for each employee.
- Accurately calculate employee wages, salaries, overtime, deductions, bonuses
- Receive approval from upper management for payments when needed.
- Administer statements of payment to personnel.
- Process taxes, other deductions, and payment of employee benefits.
- Track hourly rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information
- Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors.
- Prepare reports for upper management, finance department.
- Prepare and distribute paychecks.
- Communicate with employees about their paychecks or statements.
- Maintain accurate payroll records.
- Complying with all applicable payroll laws (state & federal) and regulations.
