TheGoshen Center for Cancer Careis a nationally recognized cancer center connected to Goshen Hospital, a 5-time Magnet Designated Facility for nursing excellence. With dozens of clinical studies underway, our team of oncologists and research experts work to advance science and patient care, both within our facility and around the world. Working with a team of Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, Radiation Therapists, and Nurses, the Medical Physicist overseestreatmenton the Varian TrueBeam and Ethos Therapy machines.
The Medical Physicist is expected to work with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment, contributing to the development and implementation of departmental policies, quality improvement initiatives, budgets, and long-range plans within Radiation Therapy. This role involves close collaboration in the creation and verification of treatment plans for Linear Accelerator and HDR Afterloader–based therapies. Additionally, the Medical Physicist is responsible for the calibration, commissioning, and ongoing quality assurance of all radiation-producing equipment to ensure safe and effective patient care.
