Short Description: Provides clinical medical physics services for the Department of Radiation Oncology.   Clinical medical physics services must be performed at a high standard and include: Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice recommendations; Equipment calibration, quality assurance, and maintenance; Treatment plan review and approval; Managing equipment and software issues including troubleshooting and engaging required IST, service engineering, and help desk support; Implementing new technology including acceptance, commissioning, process development, and training; Continually evaluating and improving departmental processes and capabilities within the purview of medical physics.   Participate in research and educational efforts.   Support and assist physicians, dosimetrists, therapists, and other colleagues. Implement requested improvements and changes facilitating their work.   Experience Required:

2 years post-graduate experience in Therapeutic Medical Physics.

Education Requirements:

PhD in medical physics or related field required

License/Certification Requirements:

ABR/ABMP-Strongly Required

Salary Min ($): USD $91.00 Salary Max ($): USD $165.00
