Position in the Float Team department NY Areas of Coverage Region B Lagrangeville Wappinger Falls Hopewell Fishkill Carmel Putnam Valley Mahopac, NY 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts between the hours of 8am-5pm.

Summary
To assist the clinician in providing medical care to the patients of the Medical Practice.
Responsibilities
• Prepares materials, supplies, equipment, and the patient to assist clinician with the patients medical exam. • Obtains the patients history and medical information. • Provides direct patient care as directed by a Registered Nurse or clinician. • Collects and processes specimens as directed by the clinician and performs point of care testing. • Administers medications and vaccinations as directed by the clinician. • Instructs the patient and family on how to perform clinician-recommended preventive care, takes prescribed medication, prepares for tests, monitors treatment progress, and notes symptom changes. • Contacts the patient to provide requested follow-up, advises them of test results, or relays clinicians instructions. • Fulfills and adheres to all compliance responsibilities related to the position. • Maintains and models the organizations values. • Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance. • Performs other duties as required.
Other Information
Ability to travel between practices as needed. Required: Active LPN License based on state BLS certification required within 30 days. Education Required: HS Graduate or Equivalent. Graduate of an accredited LPN Program. Working Conditions: Manual, some manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity. Occupational, some occupational risk. Physical Effort: Medium to Heavy effort. May exert up to 35 lbs. force. Physical Environment: Generally pleasant working conditions.
