Medical Product Development Manager / Sector Manager – Medical Devices | Warwick, England | £80,000–£120,000/year
If you’re a senior medical device or product development engineer who enjoys being both the technical lead and the person clients trust, this role gives you the opportunity to lead complex medical and scientific product development from concept through delivery.
You’ll combine engineering leadership, project management, client relationships, and business development while working on innovative products within a multidisciplinary environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
Lead medical and scientific product development projects from concept through delivery.
Take overall technical responsibility for complex product development programmes.
Lead multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, electronics, software, industrial design, and other engineering disciplines.
Manage budgets, timelines, resources, risks, and project deliverables.
Develop costed proposals and quotations and support client pitches and business development.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with medical-sector clients.
Provide technical direction and review engineering outputs.
Develop innovative and commercially viable solutions to complex engineering problems.
Work with manufacturing partners and suppliers, including injection moulding processes.
Support medical and scientific sector marketing, industry events, presentations, and conferences.
Represent the business at UK and international medical industry events.
Ensure projects are delivered within an ISO 13485 quality framework.
What You’ll Need
Significant experience delivering medical product design and development projects.
Strong medical device or product development engineering experience.
Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects and technical teams.
Strong project management and commercial experience covering budgets, quotations, costs, timelines, and risk.
Experience working directly with medical-sector clients and managing long-term relationships.
Experience within an engineering or product development consultancy is highly desirable.
Knowledge of CAE tools, computational engineering techniques, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Practical experience with high-volume manufacturing, particularly injection moulding.
