GENERAL SUMMARY The registered professional nurse, level II, uses critical thinking skills, professional judgment and leadership to anticipate, plan, direct and evaluate the care of the patients provided by a team of ancillary personnel, and serves as a resource in a specific specialty area. These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, in accordance with the mission, values and behaviors of Insight Hospital and Medical Center, and the attributes of Careful Nursing. Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care, service, and kindness toward all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and guests. This position is for nights 7pm - 7am III. 10% of Time Spent Discusses patient progress, problems and needs with physician and multidisciplinary team members on a regular basis to ensure that goals for discharge are met. 10% of Time Spent Assures high levels of quality of care through compliance with regulatory standards, reference to current research related to patient care outcome and participation in the data collection and analysis process of ongoing quality monitoring. 10% of Time Spent Provides care for all patients utilizing the attributes of Careful Nursing. 10% of Time Spent
IV. JOB SPECIFICATIONS A. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Current RN License in the State of Illinois required. Current CPR certification required ACLS certification preferred Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disorders, and their treatment in a structured outpatient setting required. Knowledge of patients' growth and development needs required.
