Medical Receptionist (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: South Loop, Chicago, IL
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday with rotating Saturdays

Responsibilities
Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
Verify insurance coverage and update patient demographics
Collect copays, balances, and required documentation
Answer and direct high-volume incoming phone calls
Manage patient records and maintain accurate electronic documentation
Assist providers and clinical staff with administrative support as needed
Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and patient correspondence
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient front desk area
Deliver exceptional customer service while managing multiple priorities
Qualifications
1+ year of medical receptionist, patient access, or healthcare front desk experience preferred
Experience with insurance verification and appointment scheduling
Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
