NorCal Spine & Sport provides chiropractic care, physiotherapy, soft tissue work, and exercise therapy. We work with athletes and active individuals who want to stay active, recover from injuries, and improve how they move.

We are looking for a dependable Medical Receptionist / Front Office Coordinator to help keep the front desk organized and provide a positive experience for patients.

Location: El Dorado Hills/Folsom, CA

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-5:30 PM

Pay: $21-$23/hour

Benefit: Free chiropractic care for active employees

Job Type: Part-time

What You'll Do

• Greet patients and assist with check-in and check-out
• Answer phones and respond to patient questions
• Schedule and manage appointments
• Verify patient and insurance information
• Collect co-pays and other payments and assist with account questions
• Update patient information and maintain accurate records
• Use the clinic's scheduling and electronic health record system
• Handle scanning, filing, faxing, and other general office tasks
• Communicate with providers and other staff throughout the day
• Protect patient information and follow HIPAA requirements
• Help keep the front office organized and running smoothly

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years of office, administrative, receptionist, or customer service experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable interacting with patients in person and by phone
• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks
• Dependable and comfortable working as part of a small team
• Previous medical, chiropractic, physical therapy, or other healthcare office experience is a plus
• Experience with appointment scheduling, EHR or practice-management systems, or insurance verification is helpful
• Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
• Able to handle confidential information appropriately
