Position Summary:
The Medical Office Receptionist is responsible for providing front-desk support in a healthcare setting. This role involves greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth daily operations of the medical office.

Key Responsibilities:
  •  Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner 
  •  Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct inquiries appropriately 
  •  Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments 
  •  Verify patient information, insurance details, and update records 
  •  Maintain and organize medical records (electronic or paper systems) 
  •  Collect co-pays and process payments 
  •  Assist with patient intake forms and documentation 
  •  Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers 
  •  Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming 
  •  Follow all privacy regulations, including HIPAA compliance
Qualifications:
  •  High school diploma or equivalent (required) 
  •  Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role (preferred) 
  •  Knowledge of medical terminology (a plus) 
  •  Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems 
  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  •  Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities 
  •  Basic computer and office equipment skills
  •  Bilingual preferred
