Front Office Representative – Medical Practice

Our client is seeking a full-time Front Office Representative to join our Lakeland location. This position plays an important role in creating exceptional patient experience by assisting with check-in, check-out, scheduling, phone communication, and overall front office operations.

The Position

The Front Office Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients and helps ensure a smooth and positive healthcare experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while maintaining excellent customer service and patient confidentiality.

Location: Lakeland
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Starting Pay: $17.00 to $19 per hour (Based on Experience)

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet patients in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Perform patient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions.
  • Collect co-payments and update patient information.
  • Assist patients with forms and required documentation.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
  • Utilize computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
  • Provide exceptional customer service while supporting daily office operations.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Experience with computer systems including Word, Outlook, and healthcare software.
  • EMR/EHR experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful.
  • Previous healthcare front office or customer service experience preferred.
