About the Role: Center for Preventive Medicine PC is looking for a motivated and compassionate Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our team in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI. This dual-role position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care from the front desk to the exam room. Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients, manage scheduling, and handle front desk operations
Answer phones, verify insurance, and process patient referrals and authorizations
Room patients, record vital signs, and document chief complaints in the EMR system
Assist physicians with clinical procedures, examinations, and patient education
Collect and process lab specimens, administer injections, and perform phlebotomy as needed
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation
Ensure exam rooms are properly stocked, cleaned, and prepared between appointments
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred
Prior experience in a medical office or clinical setting strongly preferred
Proficiency with EMR/EHR software and medical scheduling systems
Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and HIPAA compliance
Strong phlebotomy and clinical skills including vital signs and injections
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
Warm, professional demeanor with a patient-first attitude
