Clinical Receptionist
Location: New Haven, CT
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week - standard work hours, 8am-530pm
Pay Rate: $28.43 per hour
Position Summary
We are hiring a Clinical Receptionist to provide high-level front office support across multiple medical specialties as needed. This role is critical to delivering a positive and professional patient experience and requires flexibility to support different clinical areas.
The Clinical Receptionist performs routine administrative duties, supports patient flow, and serves as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level front office reception support to multiple clinical specialties
- Perform patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and visitors
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments
- Provide clear and accurate information to patients and guests
- Update patient demographic and insurance information
- Notify patients of appointment changes, cancellations, or rescheduling as needed
- Perform routine administrative tasks to support clinic operations
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a medical office setting
- Professional and effective telephone manner
- Excellent customer service skills with strong verbal and interpersonal communication abilities
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness
- Proven reliability and excellent attendance
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive patient information while fully complying with HIPAA regulations
Preferred Skills
- Experience using Epic
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
