What You'll Do As a Medical Receptionist, you'll help create a positive patient experience by providing exceptional customer service and administrative support while ensuring efficient front office operations.
Welcome patients and complete check-in, check-out, and registration.
Collect co-pays, deposits, and required patient documentation.
Prepare and organize new patient paperwork, insurance information, and privacy forms.
Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally.
Schedule appointments and assist with daily front office operations.
Create, update, and maintain accurate patient records and medical charts.
File medical documentation while maintaining confidentiality.
Prepare examination rooms and assist with patient flow.
Record patient histories, vital signs, and test results as directed.
Maintain a clean, organized reception and clinical environment.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and facility policies.
Complete required annual training and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of three (3) year of experience in a medical clinic.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong customer service and organizational skills.
Medical billing experience preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Preferred
Previous experience in a healthcare or medical office setting.
Knowledge of medical terminology, office procedures, and medical record management.
