We are a busy optometry office located inside Costco Silverdale looking for a part-time medical receptionist who can also perform basic optometric tech functions. Position is 2-3 days/14-21 hours per week; some schedule flexibility, Saturday availability is required. Weekday office hours are approximately 9:45am - 5:30pm and Saturday 9:15am - 3:30pm.
Primary duties for this position include:
Appointment scheduling and reminder calls
Patient check-in
Pre-testing (Auto-refraction, NCT, Optomap, Auto-lensometer)
Taking patient payments; billing Medicare and other medical insurances through Office Ally
Maintaining confidential medical records in both paper and electronic charts; fulfilling medical records requests and contact lens verification requests in a timely manner
Keeping contact lens trial sets stocked
Light cleaning of office and exam rooms
Ideal candidate (not required) will have knowledge of:
Basic office equipment maintenance and tech support (printer/fax/scanner, windows computers)
Efficient and accurate typing skills
Electronic Health Records (Liquid EHR, Office Ally PM)
HIPAA Privacy Practices
Vision and Optical terminology
