    Medical Receptionist – Orthopedics (Part-Time)

    Locations: Youngstown, OH & Austintown, OH (Dual-Site Role)
    Status: Part-Time (25.5 hours per week)
     
    Position Overview
    Southwoods Health is seeking a patient-focused, professional Medical Receptionist to support our Orthopedic offices in Youngstown and Austintown. Serving as the primary face of our practice across both locations, this role is essential in ensuring that every patient receives a welcoming, proactive, and high-quality experience from the moment they arrive.
     
    Schedule
    • Weekly Hours: 25.5 hours per week
    • Shift Times: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
    • Days Required: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (Note: Tuesdays and Fridays off)
     
    Key Responsibilities
    • Patient Access: Seamlessly manage patient registration, check-in, and check-out processes across locations.
    • Financial Administration: Securely collect patient co-pays and perform routine insurance verifications.
    • Scheduling Coordination: Coordinate and schedule essential follow-up appointments and clearly communicate post-visit instructions.
    • Communication & Triage: Perform baseline telephone triage, route messages efficiently, and facilitate provider-led patient instructions.
    • Clinical Collaboration: Partner closely with clinical staff to optimize daily schedules and maintain a seamless, efficient patient flow.
     
    Qualifications
    • Experience: Prior experience working as a medical receptionist is highly preferred.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and a strong foundational knowledge of medical terminology.
    • Core Traits: Exceptional customer service skills, a highly professional demeanor, and strict attention to detail.
    • Professional Aptitude: Strong problem-solving abilities paired with a cooperative, team-oriented mindset.
