Pain & Rehabilitation Physicians, P.C. is seeking a
Medical Receptionist to join our Southfield team. We are looking for someone who understands the pace and responsibilities of a medical front desk and can help us provide an efficient, professional experience for our patients.
What You’ll Do - Greet and check in patients professionally and efficiently
- Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments
- Verify patient demographic and insurance information
- Assist with patient intake and required paperwork
- Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments
- Check patients out and schedule follow-up appointments
- Communicate with physicians, medical assistants, and physical therapy staff regarding patient needs
- Help maintain accurate schedules and smooth patient flow
- Keep the front desk and reception area organized and professional
What We’re Looking For Previous medical office or healthcare front desk experience is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate:
- Has experience working at a medical office, outpatient clinic, physical therapy office, specialty practice, or similar healthcare setting
- Understands medical scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and front desk workflow
- Is comfortable working with computers and electronic medical records
- Is reliable and punctual
- Communicates professionally with patients and coworkers
- Can multitask without becoming overwhelmed
- Pays attention to detail
- Learns new systems quickly
- Works well as part of a team
- Is interested in a stable, long-term position
