Description
We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for Pediatric patients, visitors, and callers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multitasking skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and provide exceptional administrative support while ensuring a professional and welcoming office experience. This role requires the ability to manage front desk operations, maintain confidentiality, coordinate communications across multiple teams, and support daily office functions with accuracy and efficiency. Candidates must be able to prioritize responsibilities, adapt to changing demands, and contribute positively to a collaborative healthcare environment.
What You'll Do
Professionally greet and assist all visitors, patients, and vendors entering the office, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming environment.
Answer inquiries, provide directions, and explain office check-in procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Manage a multi-line telephone system, screening and directing calls to the appropriate departments, providers, or staff members while taking detailed and accurate messages.
- Provide timely, accurate, and courteous information to patients, physicians, pharmacies, and other stakeholders via phone, email, and in person.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area to create a positive first impression for visitors and patients.
- Perform data entry, document management, filing, scanning, and other administrative support tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of experience and knowledge working as a Front Desk Receptionist, Medical Receptionist, Patient Services Representative, or in a healthcare customer service role
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with appointment scheduling, patient registration, and insurance verification
- Basic computer proficiency and experience using electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems
- (Preferred) Fluent in Spanish, Mandarin, and/or Cantonese
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements
- Demonstration of mature judgment and professionalism
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and reliability
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a courteous and friendly manner
- Strong customer service skills with a patient-centered approach
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
- Our organization follows an in-person work structure where the expectation is to work onsite on a daily basis. The office location is 328 S. First St. #F Alhambra, CA 91801
- The total pay range for this role is: $22 - $24 per hour. This salary range represents our national target range for this role
