MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST/REGISTRATION/CHECK OUT - M-F, 8-5

The Toledo Clinic's Urology Department is seeking a front desk employee to greet/check in patients, perform registration duties, and check patients out. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00.

The office is located at 3355 Meijer Drive, Toledo OH. Previous experience is a medical office is strongly preferred. Employee benefits are offered and there are no weekends or holidays hours.

General Summary

Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office.

Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.
• Answering phones - courteously and professionally.
• Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc.
• Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications.
• Updating insurance information.
• Answering general patient questions.
• Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel.

Other Essential Duties May Include but Are Not Limited To

• Collecting co-pays.
• Preparing and/or submitting charge tickets.
• Preparing and cleaning exam rooms.
• Sorting, filing and scanning patient charts.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Excellent communication, phone, and organizational skills.
• Computer skills helpful.
• Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
• Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.

Education:

• HS diploma or GED.

Preferred:

• Previous clerical experience in a medical office.
