We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients in our fast-paced Urgent Care clinic. This role is essential to creating a positive patient experience by managing front desk operations, coordinating administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth communication between patients, providers, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Patient Interaction
Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service.
Answer phones, direct calls, and respond to inquiries with professionalism.
Register patients, verify insurance, and collect accurate demographic and billing information.
Check patients in and out, schedule appointments, and process payments.
Administrative Support
Maintain and update patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Handle insurance authorizations, referrals, and prior approvals as needed.
Assist with scanning, filing, and maintaining organized documentation.
Communicate patient needs and messages to clinical staff in a timely manner.
Operational Support
Monitor patient flow and assist with maintaining efficiency at the front desk.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards.
Support other office and clinic staff as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior medical office or healthcare reception experience preferred.
Familiarity with EMR systems and insurance verification is strongly desired.
Bilingual skills a plus.

Work Hours
8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Schedule: 2–3 shifts per week
Availability: Must be able to work both weekdays and weekends (schedule may vary)
Compensation:
Receptionist hourly pay: $17–$19 per hour (depending on experience and education)
