New England Cancer Specialists (NECS) is currently seeking a full time, Monday-Friday, Front Desk Medical Receptionist in Westbrook Rock Row. The Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients with a smile and promotes a smooth flow of patients through the office helping to create a calm, supportive atmosphere. Adheres to outlined check-in process for every patient displaying attention to detail and accuracy. Collects co-pays from patients per insurance plans. Documents demographic and insurance changes into Billing Software and Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Communicates promptly and accurately with all other departments using phone, email and paging system as designated. Assists all patients checking in with forms and paperwork. Compliant with all HIPPA guidelines; maintaining strict confidentiality. Follows all business office procedures for closing Front Desk at the end of each day. Conducts all interactions with patients and personnel in a courteous, respectful manner while maintaining confidentiality. Conducts all job responsibilities consistent with office policies and procedures and in compliance with all applicable laws or mandates relating to patient care and business activities.
