Position Summary
This position is responsible for managing patient's health records and history.
Preparing patient charts daily.
Ensuring medical records are organized and complete.
Requesting medical records from outside organizations.
From PCP
PT Offices
Radiology departments
Responding to patient request for their own records (ROI)
For themselves
Another provider
Insurance company
Worker's Comp or Disability Claims
Responding to Attorney request
For certified medical records
Narrative Reports
WKC-16B
Handling phone requests.
Transferring of care requests.
Providing continuity of care outside providers when requested.
Preparing invoices and maintaining balance sheet for medical records billings.
Maintaining a log to ensure all requests have been completed in timely manner.
Qualifications
2 Years Medical Records Experience Required
High School diploma or equivalent.
Strong data entry skills
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy
Basic computer skills to scan, organize and access electronic health records
Time management skills
HIPAA Compliance
Understanding of company Policy and Procedures
