Job Title: Medical Records Indexer
Contract Duration: 1 year, possible extension
Work Arrangement: Remote

Summary
The position of Medical Records Indexer is a full time, work at home position. The Medical Records indexing department is responsible for input of medical record data into The HealthSpring Appxtender document management system. We are looking for a candidate with a professional, positive outlook and can assist the team in maintaining a turnaround of 48 hours form processing time, across all HealthSpring Health plans.

The ideal candidate for the position of Medical Records Indexer/ Administrative Clerk would possess the following:

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM. (Include typing test with WPM and accuracy)
• Basic knowledge of medical records interpretation.
• Good organizational skills and must be detail oriented.
• 1 year minimum of data entry experience.
• 1 year minimum of Microsoft Office experience, including Outlook and Excel.
• Experience with The Appxtender Document Management system is a plus not required.
• Friendly and professional disposition.
• The candidate must possess above average writing skills.
• Must be able to maintain or exceed a minimum of 500 indexed pages per hour.
• Must be able to maintain or exceed a minimum 95% accuracy rate for all indexed pages.
• Candidate must possess a level of discretion and confidentiality and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
