Expected pay for this position is $18.80 - $22.12/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
Overview:This job is located in Evergreen Park,IL
M-F 8am-430pm
POSITION SUMMARY: The Medical Record Technician (MR Tech) compiles, processes, and maintains records of hospital patients in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements. Performs a variety of moderately complex tasks that are highly confidential and are defended by established policies and procedures. Maintains the integrity of the legal health record so complete and accurate records are available for patient care and business use in a timely manner.
Qualifications:REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED Experience: Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associates Degree in Health Information Management or similar field Experience: Previous experience in medical records dept. or health related field
