Duties

  • Perform a variety of medical records technician duties which include the complete and accurate process and maintenance of hybrid paper-electronic environment of analyzing filing compiling scanning releasing information retrieving and dispatching charts and documents file managing archiving Third Party and entering data of treatment provided to patients within a complex health care facility.
  • Perform comprehensive review of the record
  • Evaluate the record for documentation consistency accuracy and correlation of recorded data.
  • Analyze provider documentation to assure the appropriate codes Evaluation and Management levels are assigned using the correct codes and applicable modifiers.
  • Assure diagnostic and procedural terminology used is consistent with medical nomenclature.
  • Perform routine audits in accordance with Agency compliance plan.

Requirements

  • Conditions of employment Selectee may be subject to a probationary period ESEP appointees typically serve a two year trial period U.S. Citizenship is required Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959
