A Medical Research Tech III provides support in an assigned research laboratory, conducting specified phases of research projects. You will work without supervision, manage lab supplies, analyze data, maintain accurate experimental records, and help write manuscripts for publication. Work may be required to be done independently, and designated research projects are required. Work is performed under usual laboratory conditions. Some hazards may be present due to use of radioactive, carcinogenic or other potentially harmful substances. May instruct or direct work of subordinate laboratory personnel.

  • Person-specific lab duties (making buffers, aliquoting reagents, calibrating pH meter).

  • The candidate must have excellent molecular biology skills required for quantitative real-time PCR, cloning, primary cell culture.
  • Experience with research animal (mouse or rat) handling and welfare.

  • Evidence of several scientific presentations in national or international conferences over the past three years.
