Medical Science Liaison

Mercy BioAnalytics, Inc., is a biotechnology company dedicated to reducing suffering and saving lives through the early detection of cancer. Backed by extensive clinical validation, we are advancing one of the most important innovations in modern medicine: detecting cancer at its earliest, most treatable stages through a simple blood draw.

We are looking for a passionate individual to join our Medical Affairs team, whose mission is to advance the clinical and scientific understanding of the EvidentTM test portfolio.

As a trusted clinical resource, this mission critical role will involve cross-functional partnership with clinical, commercial, and market access colleagues to deliver evidence-based education enabling appropriate patient access through a broad range of direct and indirect stakeholder channels - including payors, guideline committees, healthcare professionals, health systems, and key opinion leaders.

Candidates for this position must enjoy working for a fast-paced, innovative company, be able to work in a highly collaborative and teamwork-oriented environment and exhibit a passion for being a part of our life-saving mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide scientific and/or clinical presentations on the Evident Test portfolio, initially focused on ovarian cancer including early cancer biology, biomarkers, clinical performance, workflow integration, and competitive technologies.
  • Address the specific needs of customers by responding to requests for information about marketed and pipeline products.
  • Serve as a medical and scientific resource for Mercy's sales and marketing teams, including providing educational training.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage interactions with Key Opinion Leaders ("KOLs") from the oncology, OB/GYN, primary care, genetics, diagnostics communities as well as other relevant healthcare professionals.
  • Capture field insights to inform strategic planning with Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, R&D, and Commercial teams.
  • Result review and clinical support for ordering clinicians and their teams as requested or indicated for individual samples.
  • Develop educational materials for healthcare providers and patients.
  • Support evidence generation (Investigator Initiated Studies, Real World Evidence, Health Economics & Outcomes Research, workflow studies) and collaborate on clinical protocols, site questions, conference abstracts and content, and peer reviewed manuscripts as indicated
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, NP/PA) with oncology/lab expertise; 1-3 years MSL and clinical/industry experience within a medical device, biotechnology or pharmaceutical company
  • Adaptability to fast-paced environments and evolving priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of cancer biology, screening principles, and diagnostic metrics (sensitivity, specificity, ROC/AUC, NPV/PPV), including ability to interpret clinical data and assay validation workflows
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; experience with healthcare systems; willingness to travel nationally
  • Strong understanding with FDA diagnostic pathways, CLIA/CAP, and payer coverage frameworks
  • Ability to support travel 25-75%, including occasional weekend travel
