Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Medical Secretary to join our Home Care/Hospice team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
The Medical Secretary provides quality secretarial support for designated department, management, and staff. Assists in the completion and maintenance of routine projects and programs. Supports the process of care delivery to Park Nicollet Health Services patients in Community Care.
Responsibilities encompass a diverse range of duties, including but not limited to: managing incoming calls and directing them to clinical staff, facilitating patient registration for Hospice, extending a warm welcome to staff members, as well as handling the faxing of documents and sorting mail.
Calls received are often from patients or family members seeking assistance from our Home Care & Hospice staff. Much of this role is assisting patients/families in connecting with triage nursing staff. Additional tasks include putting together patient admission packets, building lab sample kits, and registering patients with a medical examiner.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:45 AM- 4:15 PM One weekday off per week.
