This position assembles medical specimen traps by hand as well as by operating our trap assembly machine (training provided). Hand ssembly takes place in a well-lit, air-conditioned area. Actual assembly is easy. Specimen traps are packed in quantities of 100/box with three boxes assembled at a time. The assembler visually inspects parts to eliminate parts with black marks or other blemishes. Sometimes someone will work with this this person, otherwise the person works independently. In addition to actual trap assembly, this individual prepares the packing cartons with poly bags, transports finished, packed boxes of traps to inventory and collects parts required to restock the assembly area. Capability to lift a box or bundle of flat boxes, either weighing up to 30 lbs, would be required approximately once per day.
