Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in molecular and genetic biology techniques, including DNA/RNA isolation, PCR/RT-PCR, gel electrophoresis, cloning, restriction digestion, ligation, and gene expression analysis.
  • Trained in immunology and microbiology methods, including bacterial culturing, Gram staining, biochemical and ATP assays, antibiotic susceptibility testing, immunodiffusion, and blood cell analysis.
  • Background in animal cell and tissue culture, including work with cell lines, primary cultures, transfections, cytotoxicity assays, micropropagation, and callus induction.

Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required.
