Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Medical Student Tutors work closely with the Academic Support Office to provide a wide range of academic support services to medical students at each stage of their medical school career.

  • Eligibility: Current, registered, UCLA DGSOM medical students are eligible to apply.

Hourly Salary Range: $18.60 - 40.00

All Required:

  • Must be a current, registered, UCLA DGSOM medical student.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of DGSOM medical curriculum.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work with diverse constituencies and to contribute to a welcoming and affirming learning environment.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of learning platforms and technology and their application in an academic setting, including but not limited to Gryphon or Zoom.
  • Ability to teach and facilitate learning of medical students in a variety of modalities, including 1:1, in small groups, and through review sessions and workshops.

As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
