  • Hands-On Clinical Program Development: Directly author, build, and support deployment of evidence-based clinical protocols, medical guidelines, and standards of care. Serve as a primary and collaborative technical producer for the PBT program and 13+ other designated EMS and crash prevention tasks.
  • Translation of Technical Data: Translate epidemiological, vehicle crash, and trauma registry data into finalized, actionable training curricula, operational blueprints, and national policy recommendations.
  • Prehospital Blood Transfusion (PBT) Implementation Support: Provide experienced technical assistance to implementation partners who are establishing new prehospital blood programs. Assist with the design and troubleshooting of cold-chain logistics, blood bank validation protocols, regulatory compliance workflows, and training matrices for first responders and EMS agencies, where necessary.
  • Scientific Content Generation: Author technical white papers, peer-reviewed manuscripts, executive briefings, and clinical decision-support tools. Ensure all written deliverables meet the highest standards of accuracy and scientific rigor.
  • Field-Level Technical Support : Where appropriate, apply subject matter expertise to provide technical support to EMS/Fire departments, hospital trauma centers, and blood bank administrators to integrate and operationalize protocols, establish metrics, and validate field capability benchmarks.
  • Data Quality and Surveillance Metrics: Design and guide execution of frameworks for clinical effectiveness measurement across crash interventions. Monitor trauma data integrity to iterate and optimize protocols in real-time.
  • Interagency Collaboration: Serve as the technical, peer-to-peer counterpart to clinicians and scientists across the Departments of War, Transportation and Health and Human Services, and academic medical centers to ensure technical alignment on shared tasks.
  • Review and Validation: Review and validate medical and scientific content in reports, plans, concept papers, and briefings to ensure technical accuracy and clinical relevance.
  • Planning and Coordination: Support medical and operational planning for major initiatives, exercises, and response efforts, ensuring appropriate medical considerations are incorporated into plans and coordination activities.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance and participation in required training for the role.
